A little about me

A wordsmith for the digital age

In the second grade, my teacher assigned a class project: To write a story in as many sentences as our imaginations can conjure and our little fingers can write. I turned in nine pages, front and back. I’ve been writing since I learned how.

While earning my bachelor’s degree in communications, I worked as a producer and an editor for some of Israel’s largest dailies, pulling together reporters, photographers, assignment and copy editors to keep hundreds of thousands of readers informed and, occasionally, entertained. I penned multiple magazine pieces which led to my move to New York City for NYU’s masters program in magazine writing, at the Arthur L. Carter school of journalism.

Several internships later, I was hired at HuffPost where I wore many hats: writing, editing, managing, turning in copy on extremely tight deadlines (anyone who’s ever covered award shows for a news outlet would understand) as well as product testing, insights analysis and social media strategy.

A few years later, I was fortune to join Refinery29 as director of innovation where I had the freedom to explore emerging social media platforms, 1: few messaging apps and chatbots to help connect a fast-growing, female-forward brand with new and diverse audiences. This led to meaningful work across the social media landscape as I partnered with some of the most prominent platforms–Meta, Twitter, LinkedIn–to consistently reinvent how we show up for our audience.

As my interests grew so did my family, which led to my decision to pursue freelance opportunities. I partnered with Meta on multiple projects, among them the Instagram local news fellowship in partnership with the Reynolds Journalism Institute, in which I recruited and placed 22 college graduates as Instagram editors in local newsrooms across the country. It was the spring of 2020–at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, amidst a social reckoning and as new forms of content distribution and meaningful connection took hold. This led to a multi-year contract leading content strategy that connected creators and creatives with Meta platforms.

Nearly 100 success stories later, I wrapped up my contract with Meta to assist The Washington Post Creative Group with their case study needs, as well as other clients.

A more detailed breakdown of my resume can be found on my LinkedIn. If you’ve read this far, I am excited to learn how we can partner to help your brand shine.
